Google Tag Manager

The Skipper Booking Engine provides out-of-box support for partners utilizing Google Tag Manager. All tracked events within our Booking Engine will automatically be sent to the GTM container that is specified in your website.

During onboarding, we will ensure that data is being sent to your GTM container, at which point, you can send data further downtstream to other sources, such as Google Analytics. If you need assistance integrating GTM with GA, we can help with that as well.

Prerequisite

Skipper simply utilizes the global dataLayer object that is exposed by default with every GTM integration. You do not need to do anything unless you have changed the name of the global dataLayer object (this is very uncommon.)
